Sexton Community Health Center is located inside of Sexton High School. Sexton Community Health Center provides the following services to people ages 5-25:
Primary Health Care
Licensed doctors and providers at Child and Adolescent Health Centers offer primary health care services, including:
- Annual/Sports/School/Work physicals and Well Child exams
- Treatment for minor illness and injuries
- Vision/Hearing screenings and follow-up
- Chronic disease management (Asthma, diabetes, obesity, etc.)
- Immunizations
- Basic lab services and tests
- Counseling and behavioral health services
- Health education
- Referral to community services
- Referrals for specialty services
Confidential Services
Child and Adolescent Health Centers offer the following confidential services to mature minors:

Pregnancy testing

Sexually transmitted infection (STI) and HIV screenings, treatment and counseling

Substance abuse education, counseling and referrals

Crisis intervention and emergency care

Mental health assessment, counseling and referrals

Physical/sexual abuse counseling and referrals
Behavioral Health
Licensed Social Workers offer screening and assessment for a variety of behavioral health issues facing adolescents today. Comprehensive screening and assessments are available to individual patients at each of our Health Centers, and to members of the community.
Health Education and Outreach
Child and Adolescent Health Centers host evidence-based workshops for students and community partners around STI’s/contraception, nutrition, bullying, dating violence, depression & suicide, and homeless prevention. All workshops are at no-cost and available to the community.
Family Planning
Family Planning (birth control and contraceptive) services are available ONLY at Willow Health Center. Child and Adolescent Health Centers also provide services for the whole family, including free Medicaid Enrollment Assistance and appointment scheduling for medical or dental services for all ages through Ingham Community Health Centers.
