COVID-19 Precautions

Information for CHC patients and future patients regarding COVID-19

At Ingham Community Health Centers, we are closely monitoring developments around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). In order to protect our patients and staff, we want to provide you with helpful information and resources to keep you and our community safe.

Ingham Community Health Centers is requesting anyone who is ill or experiencing symptoms to call their healthcare provider or facility before seeking care.  For contact information, visit our Locations & Hours page.

Ingham Community Health Centers is working to limit the spread of illness through:

  • Continuous, thorough cleaning and sanitizing of exam rooms, lobbies and frequently touched surfaces at all facilities.

  • Making masks available for patient use, hand sanitizer and tissues available in all waiting areas.

COVID-19 Testing

Drive thru testing at Forest Community Health Center is suspended due to construction and should resume in early December.

Established patients should call their health center for COVID-19 testing. The provider will conduct an assessment via telehealth or in-person. New patients should call (517) 887-4517, Option #3. All patients and community members may also visit a testing event sponsored by ICHD and ICHC.

Testing takes place at ICHC. Hours are the same as the health center hours of operation. Instructions will be given following the assessment appointment.

PLEASE NOTE:

DENTAL: We encourage our low-risk patients to keep their dental appointments as long as you do not have any of the symptoms.
