The Ingham County Health Department monitors the health of the community and diagnoses and investigates health problems and health hazards in the county. This monitoring and assessment helps ICHD gain insight and uncover innovative solutions to local health problems.

Investigates certain types of deaths. Services are contracted through Sparrow Forensic Pathology Services.

The Ingham County Clerk maintains birth, death and marriage license records for events that occurred in Ingham County.
