Stephanie –After nursing my first baby with no real issues, I went into nursing my second with the expectation of everything being so easy. My son started off as an amazing nurser, and I felt really good about it. By his second day of life however, he gave me more than one issue to deal with. I got really stressed out about him not eating, and thought about giving up.
Because of the support I had from my family, I pushed through. Partners do not realize that it is the little things they do that can make the most difference – bringing the baby to you, bringing you a drink, encouraging you. My family and my partner made the biggest difference, and now at almost 14 months old we are still going strong!
Some advice I have for new moms is this: It does get easier!
