Tobacco Information

The Ingham County Health Department has several programs and projects that work to eliminate unnecessary exposure to tobacco smoke. Help is also available for those that want to quit their tobacco addiction, report exposure or to get help to reduce exposure to tobacco smoke in our community. Youth programs and community projects help to prevent addiction and are dedicated to raising healthier kids in Ingham County. Tobacco Retail Sales

In Ingham County all retailers who sell tobacco must purchase and display a tobacco sales license. The license is non-transferable and must be renewed by January 1 of each calendar year. Tobacco checks are conducted at each store on an annual basis through the cooperation of the Ingham County Health Department and the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.
