Ingham County Health Department Celebrates Opening of Allen Community Health Center

LANSING, Mich. – Ingham County Health Department is pleased to announce the opening of Allen Community Health Center, part of the Ingham Community Health Centers, to the general public on Monday, October 10, 2022.

Allen Community Health Center will serve adults ages 18 and older. Services offered include primary care, behavioral health, health education, and lab services. Allen Community Health Center is located at 1601 E Kalamazoo Street, Lansing, MI 48912. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

“We are both excited and honored to be able to bring much needed health care services to the Eastern Lansing community,” said Kris Drake, MHA, FACHE, Deputy Health Officer and Executive Director of Ingham Community Health Centers. “We look forward to providing the best experience through people-centered care.”

Allen Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center, meaning it serves medically-underserved populations and does not refuse care due to insurance status or ability to pay. It is one of the health department’s twelve health centers. All are dedicated to providing affordable, high quality, and comprehensive care.

New patients with all types of insurance, including those without health insurance, are welcome to make Allen Community Health Center their medical home. Those wanting to establish care should call the health center at (517) 679-2880.

Allen Community Pharmacy, located within Allen Community Health Center, will open and available to the community at a later date.
