About OYC

Office for Young Children Mission Statement:  The Ingham County Office for Young Children promotes and improves the availability, affordability, and accessibility of quality early education and child care for children in Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, and Shiawassee counties.

 OYC is a program of the Ingham County Health Department and is funded in part by the County of Ingham, the Michigan Early Childhood Investment Corporation, the City of Lansing, and other contracts.  OYC provides regional services in Mid-Michigan and is part of the Great Start Child Care Central Regional Resource Center.

OYC has been delivering services to the community since 1975 and works closely with the Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing in Lansing.

The office location is in the Ingham County Human Services Building, 5303 S. Cedar Street, Lansing, MI in the Health Department on the second floor. Office hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
