National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is an annual campaign to promote HIV testing and early diagnosis of HIV across the United States. The theme is “Take the Test, Take Control”.
In the United States, more than 1.1 million people are estimated to be living with HIV, and nearly 1 in 5 of those people do not know they are infected. Testing is one of the most powerful HIV prevention tools.
