International Travel Clinic

Traveling within the U.S. or to other countries can be an opportunity for volunteerism or work, fun and relaxation, but also exposure to disease. Make sure you and your loved ones are protected against vaccine-preventable diseases that may be only a plane ride away.

Are you a prepared traveler? As you budget, write to-do lists, and pack, be sure to also check on your vaccination status. Travel – both within the United States and to other countries – can expose you to infectious viruses and bacteria. If you and your loved ones are not protected by up-to-date vaccinations, you are at risk of catching serious diseases.

Appointment Needed

The Immunization Clinic provides international travel information and immunizations on an appointment basis.

We recommend scheduling your appointment approximately 4-6 weeks before departure so that your body can develop antibody response to the vaccine and adequate time is available to receive multi-dose series vaccines.

During the travel appointment we will provide you with information on the correct anti-malarial medication to use for the area you are traveling. Follow up is needed with your health care provider for the written prescription.
