LANSING, Mich. – Community organizations and businesses have come together to help local children get ready for the new school year with health screenings, giveaways, resources and fun at the Back to School Health Fair, August 14-18.
Who: Families with children of all ages are invited to this free event. Last year, nearly 800 children attended.
What: Children who attend can receive vision, hearing and lead screenings at no cost. Sports physicals and immunizations are available by appointment. The event includes special giveaways and activities. Parents/Guardians can receive information about preschool and access information about resources such as playgroups, medical coverage and more.
Partners in attendance include event sponsor Blue Cross Complete of Michigan, the Capital Area District Library, Eaton RESA, Lansing SAVE, Capital Area Community Services (CACS) Head Start, Ingham Great Start and more.
