June 27th is National HIV Test Day (NHTD)

National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is an annual campaign to promote HIV testing and early diagnosis of HIV across the United States.  The theme is “Take the Test, Take Control”.

In the United States, more than 1.1 million people are estimated to be living with HIV, and nearly 1 in 5 of those people do not know they are infected.  Testing is one of the most powerful HIV prevention tools.  

Talk with your doctor about HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing or call the Ingham County Health Department at 517.887.4424 to schedule an appointment.

Lansing Area AIDS Network (LAAN) will hold HIV testing for the Week of NHTD which is:

Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the LAAN Main Office (By Appointment) from 3-8 PM

Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Diversity Psychological Services-Old Town (Walk-In) from 6-8 PM

Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the LAAN office (Walk-In) from 5-7 PM
