Tobacco Prevention, Education and Licensure
The Ingham County Health Department:
licenses all tobacco retailers in Ingham County,
supports youth tobacco prevention programs,
offers quit-tobacco services, and
provides support for the Michigan Smoke-Free Air Law.
Michigan becomes a Smoke-Free state on Saturday, May 1, 2010. For more support and information on the following programs, click on Tobacco Information or call (517) 887-4315.

Welcome to the Ingham County Health Department! Our mission is to carry out the Ingham County Board of Commissioners' responsibilities to protect and promote the health of Ingham County residents. We do this through programs to prevent and control communicable diseases, programs to protect citizens from environmental hazards and several efforts and programs to link County residents to an organized system of health care. The Department also conducts research to document the health status and health problems of the community and works with the community to develop strategies to improve health and well-being.
